 The project site occupies part of the old Sancet Stadium, just south of the McKale Athletics Center. At the intersection of Enke Drive and National Championship Drive, a welcoming plaza provides gathering space for other game day venues. Landscape amenities for the plaza include benches, seat walls, and shade trees. WDG incorporated an understory of colorful and fragrant shrubs, adding to the overall experience. Landscape amenities along Championship Drive include shade trees and benches. Deciduous shade trees provide a leafy canopy during the spring, summer and fall and allow solar access during the winter.
