The Bioscience Research Lab was constructed at the west end of a University of Arizona research complex which includes the Medical Research Building and the Keating Bioresearch Building. WDG prepared planting, hardscape and irrigation plans for the streetscapes and interior courtyard. The concept includes an oasis-like courtyard and integration of passive water harvesting. Research was required to meet the challenging light conditions of the courtyards and building arcades for optimal plant performance. This project has been certified LEED Gold and has received a Green Globes Rating of 3 Green Globes.
